Fiscal Year: 2010 Agency: USAID Audit Report Available: Yes Description: According to the mission, the Emergency Jobs Program is designed to provide targeted emergency employment opportunities for skilled and unskilled workers by designing and directing responsive, labor-intensive, small-scale infrastructure projects across a wide range of sectors. USAID/West Bank and Gaza awarded a 3-year cooperative agreement valued at $20 million that began in October 2007. The program is intended to improve the quality of life for at least 1 million Palestinians in a minimum of 100 vulnerable communities in the West Bank. This audit will determine whether USAID/West Bank and Gaza’s Emergency Jobs Program is providing skilled and unskilled employment opportunities.
